HELP SUPPORT THE FOODBANK PROJECT

These are tough times for many Kiwis, with countless families struggling to put food on the table and pay their bills. Kiwi Wealth wants to help lend a hand and are raising money to support this special not-for-profit, self-sustaining online shop.

Every week The Foodbank Project helps thousands of Kiwis with food parcels giving them a hand up when they need it most. There are all sorts of people living week-to-week who need help when confronted by an unexpected setback.

By redirecting the money people would normally spend on groceries, to target one-off costs or debt, we can help vulnerable individuals and families get on top of their living costs without having to go hungry.

Kiwi Wealth will match contributions donated up to the value of $20k and the donations will go to The Foodbank Project to help cover the running costs of their foodbanks – this includes electricity for fridges and freezers, as well as purchasing essential items needed for food parcels which aren’t donated in sufficient numbers.

Kiwi Wealth’s Acting GM Product + Retail Melissa Vasta says Kiwi Wealth wants to do its bit to ‘give back’ to its customers and the wider New Zealand community.

“The Foodbank Project delivers food parcels to those in need across New Zealand and is supported by the Salvation Army. Their work aligns with Kiwi Wealth’s values, recognising that wealth can be defined in many ways – and right now, wealth can be as simple as having food on the table”.
