Fundraising for Assistance Dogs New Zealand Trust
Auckland
Meet 12-month-old Rue, who was on track to become a life-changing Assistance Dog at Assistance Dogs New Zealand Trust (ADNZT). However, Rue’s future took an unexpected turn when she contracted Meningitis.
After careful consideration, we’ve made the decision to remove Rue from our programme. While she won’t be able to continue her training, Rue’s journey is not over. Rue will become a beloved pet, but we need to ensure she is healthy enough to go to her forever home.
Recovery can take up to 12 months. Her condition is improving, but requires ongoing, expensive treatment to regain her strength.
The estimated costs for Rue’s recovery are significant, and as an organisation, we are committed to covering these expenses. However, the financial burden has been overwhelming, and we urgently need your help to ensure she receives the care she needs.
We are reaching out to help cover the cost of Rue’s treatment. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a difference in supporting Rue's recovery.
Even a donation of $5 or $10 can make an impact. Please consider contributing today to help us cover Rue’s medical expenses.
The total estimated cost for Rue’s recovery is between $4,800.00 and $7,500.00, it includes:
2 specialist re-check consultations
2 blood tests (CBC & Chemistry)
2 CRP blood tests (Canine Reactive Protein)
6-10 months of Cyclosporine and Prednisone medications
