Help the Kids

I am raising funds for the Christchurch Children's Hospital. I have had my time up there with daughters and I know how stressful this time can be.

I would like to see some funds go to providing a more comfortable space in the rooms for parents or caregivers where they can rest a bit easier while they are at the hospital with their kids at this stressful time as sometimes you could be there for a lengthy period of time.

The Emergency Department at Christchurch Hospital are looking for support to provide essential clothing for children and young people who arrive at hospital or whose families are facing difficult circumstances.

The clothing is given directly to families when needed and is also used to support children admitted to medical and surgical wards. Having clean, warm clothing available can make a real difference for children and families during what can be a stressful time.

They are particularly looking for new (not second hand) children’s clothing, including:

• Onesies and bodysuits

• T-shirts and tops

• Pants and leggings

• Pyjamas

• Socks

• Warm winter clothing

Sizes from newborn through to 15 years are needed.

I will also be cutting my Dreadlocks (that are halfway down by back to help raise funds)
