The Renalls are joining the Diabetes NZ Fitbit MoveMeant Challenge & we need your support!
Nationwide
As Brett has had Type 1 Diabetes since he was 7 it is a big part of our everyday lives.
265,000 people in New Zealand have diabetes and another 1 in 4 are estimated to have pre- diabetes. Both diet and exercise are fundamental in helping to control both type 1 and type 2 diabetes and prevent or delay type 2.
In the Diabetes NZ Fitbit MoveMeant Challenge, business leaders and public personalities will compete against each other to see who can out-step and fun-raise more than the others, to win the inaugural bragging rights as champion fundraising star.
Funds raised will go directly to Diabetes New Zealand to the work they do to support all those affected by diabetes.
As Brett has been a Type 1 Diabetic since he was 7 we are always keen to create awareness for something that affects a large number of New Zealanders but is not spoken about enough!
