Fundraising appeal for Nepal Earthquake. Schools and communities united for the people of Nepal. Together we can help move a mountain.
Otago
Move A Mountain is a non-profit, non-incorporated social group created as a movement to promote fundraising following the devastating Nepal earthquake.
On April 25th 2015, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake rocked Nepal and destroyed the foundations of the country. It is estimated over 7000 people have lost their lives already and the country's infrastructure has been left in tatters.
Move A Mountain's idea is for local NZ schools and workplaces to come together and raise funds to assist the disaster relief; where all proceeds will be donated directly to Save The Children. This can be in the form of fundraising mufti days where people can wear 'mountaineering' clothes (or whatever event they wish to hold). Alternatively you can support this movement by donating to this page.
With everyone's help, together we can move a mountain!
The founding member, Dr Raymond Chan, is a junior doctor who spent his medical elective training in Nepal and wanted to return the kindness he experienced in light of the tragedy.
