    Puakani is the smaller summit beside Tongariro and Ngauruhoe.

    The planned Tongariro snow walk I decided to leave until summer.

    First time climb of Te Mata Peak. Several climbs on this peak to suite all levels of fitness. My feet beat the blue tag goat track.-Rongokaka

    First poem - Nature

    BLUE DUCKS

    Rain storms softening blue grey papa clay

    Loosened hard grey wacke stones

    Plink, plink plops

    Leaves, broken stems

    All fallen

    River muddied swirl, foam tea

    Color spectrum droplets full of conversations rolling, rolling off our native blue duck backs.

    Can you see them in the water stained clay painting.
