    I am so speechless and thankful to be able to reach and pass $1000 raised for SANDS Taranaki. To be honest at the start of the month I was so hopeful that I could maybe raise $250 (my first goal), and to reach this milestone is just incredible. Thank you to everyone, from my friends and family, to people in my local community, and even complete strangers, for your generosity and kindness. I don't even have the words to thank you for what this means to me ❤❤❤❤❤

    Yesterday was Willow's birthday and we spent some time with the tree that is planted over his grave.

    You have all been so incredibly generous and I cannot thank you all enough for your contribution. When I started this fundraiser the goal was $250 and I wasn't sure if I was going to meet that target, and now we've raised the goal amount to $700. I couldn't have done this without your love and generosity. Thank you 💛

    Thank you so much to everyone for your generosity!

    One of the really amazing things that SANDS Taranaki provided was a CuddleCot in the hospital suite. This is a special bed for your pēpi that has a cooling function, keeping your baby at a cool temperature so they are able to stay with you in your room. With this special bed Willow was able to remain with me during my entire stay at Taranaki Base Hospital. It was so amazing to know he was right there next to me, and didn't have to be separated from me.

    They also provided a small blanket, hat, two tiny Willow-sized teddy bear (one for me, one for him), and a cot card (pictured).

    Thank you so much for helping us to reach our second goal! SANDS is a peer support organisation run by volunteers and the funds they receive help to support their mahi!

    I received a harakeke puraku (pictured) that Willow was buried in, as well as many other keepsakes. They provided a special print kit for my hospital midwife to take Willow's hand and foot prints 👣, and arranged a volunteer photographer to take a number of really special and cherished photos. These things are all really important and special, allowing bereaved whānau to have treasured keepsakes to remember their pēpi.

    Thank you so much to everyone who has donated so far. I'm so overwhelmed by being able to reach my first goal of $250 raised for SANDS Taranaki!

    This has been such a horrible year, but it makes me so happy that I can raise this money so that SANDS Taranaki can go on to support more people and whānau like us.

    I've raised the goal to $350 now, and can't thank you all enough for making this possible. 💛
