Why HERstory and Why We Need Your Help

I created HERstory Transformational Talks in 2017 because I know we live and walk by so many inspiring people, and we are connected by hearing their stories. This event celebrates the resilience and achievements of extraordinary women in our community, aiming to empower others and foster a sense of unity and support.

Last year I returned to my home town Sheffield, in the UK after learning that my Mum had terminal pancreatic cancer. It was there that I had the experience of the devastation, and loss changed me. The incredible work that the volunteers, doctors and nurses did, was beyond incredible. So, it has given me the sense of devotion to raising funds for the cancer society, so that together we can give a little that means a lot.

Held at the lovely Suter Theatre, we have 150 seats to fill, and we would love your generosity to help us achieve this goal. All profits from this event will go directly to the Cancer Society, Nelson/Tasman, supporting vital services for those affected by cancer. Your participation and generosity will help us continue this important work. Together, we can uplift our community and bring hope to those in need.
