Having spent my childhood and teen years growing up in Napier, I was shocked and saddened to see the destruction of homes and places and the impact on people's lives including old school friends' homes and businesses. I felt the best way I can help is to raise funds and awareness of people's plight and utter destruction in this special region. I'd love it for friends and whanau to support me in this fundraising ride - $5/day (total $35) of ride would be awesome - all funds go to go to the Bayview Community Trust to give to most needy families affected.
