Support Ian Winson, double above-knee amputee, to travel to and ride the NY marathon with AchillesNZ

Auckland

4 years ago Ian was involved in a work place accident where he lost both his legs and suffered permanent damage to his arms and hands. After 25 surgeries he has learned to walk in prosthetic limbs, swim and now to ride a bike. Achilles NZ has invited him to attend this years New York Marathon as a competitor using a special bike that will be powered by his artificial legs. This has not been done before. All donations go straight to Achilles NZ and will help to get both Ian and a companion to New York in November 2015.
