Fundraising for Gumboot Friday

Nelson

In 2022 local gym owner and electrician Glen Martin along with good friend Dave Orme cycled on stationary bikes for 24 hours to raise money for Gumboot Friday – “I am Hope” charity. This year the pair have decided to take on a new challenge. When Glen was thinking about what he could do for the charity, he thought about CrossFit - as finding the fittest, it covers strength, agility, cardio, moving odd objects and more. He was imagining the hardest thing he could possibly do, and what came to mind was an Ironman challenge. Glen said “I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone on little to no training as this will be the hardest challenge ever”.

During the 180km bike at the velodrome we will be selling raffles, holding a bake sale & BBQ, have games for the family including a bouncy castle and stationary bikes to ride.
