We (Robert and Marianne) are raising money for Forest and Bird as part of cycling the length of New Zealand from Cape Reinga to Bluff.
Nationwide
Riding 3000km in 30 days will be quite the challenge! That is what Tour Aotearoa has in store for us in Feb/March 2020. Find out more in our blog which we will be updating as we progress towards and through the event: https://itsawheelylongwaytobluff.blogspot.com/
As part of this challenge we are raising funds for Forest and Bird because we truly value the work that they do. Forest and Bird has a wide reach - from practical projects focused on eradicating pests and restoring nature, to advocacy work and collaborations, and legal defence of nature in our courts. They have streams of activity across land, rivers, oceans and climate. They help to give nature a voice.
But they need more funding to support their work. Please donate to our CrowdFunding, as we know Forest and Bird will appreciate every cent received. And we will be very grateful for your contribution too!
Give what you are able to. A $30 donation equates to 1c per kilometer of our journey. It will be great motivation during the toughest kilometers to know that keeping on pedalling is raising money for a good cause!
Also, please share the link to this CrowdFunding page to your friends and family. The more people who can help the better!
Thank you
Extending closing date for our fundraiser 17 April 2020
We are extending the closing date by a couple of months as we have not quite reached our fundraising goal.
We've just finished making daily videos from our great cycle tour along the length of NZ which may stimulate some further donations.
Thanks so much for your donation!
Cheers Gareth. I'm back into video making - the Timber Trail videos starring yours truly should be ready in about a week I reckon.
Thanks for your interest and support Peter!
