Jazz Visiting Open Home Foundation in India!

This year I've started working for OHFI (Open Home Foundation International) who are an organisation devoted to supporting children and their families around the world. OHFI trains vulnerable communities to become self-sufficient upon the skills of their own people. OHFI partners with incredible people and communities in Rwanda, Zambia, Romania, Uganda, Kolkata, and Manipur in India. In these countries, we provide social work support, health care clinics, tuition centres and schools.

In February, myself and a team of 10 others will be visiting our team members in India for two weeks. The purpose of this trip is to foster cross-cultural, long-lasting relationships with the communities we connect with. This trip is very close to my heart!! It will enable me to gain a deeper understanding of how best I can continue to support these people through my work. It also means that the communities that are supported, are able to meet those who are partnering with them. The group aims to share the stories of the people we meet when we are back in Aotearoa!

I am kindly asking for financial help to pay for my travel, and equipment for the communities we visit :) Because we are a charity, you will receive one-third of anything you give back at the end of the financial year (april)!!!
