Hey guys! I‘m training for a charity boxing match as part of the Winterlude programme at UC and to raise money for Amnesty International!

I will receive 8 weeks of training with Round 12 in Christchurch and the fight will take place on July 18 as a part of the Re-Oweek events to celebrate the start of Semester 2 for 2015 at the University of Canterbury. I have never had any boxing training before and I am around 5’ 9’’ and weigh 68 Kg. I’m really looking forward to the challenge and am hoping to raise $500 for Amnesty International NZ!

Please join me in supporting this great charity which works to protect human dignity and defend human rights. The vision of Amnesty International is a world in which every person enjoys all the rights stated in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other international human rights standards.

They defend prisoners of conscience and the rights of refugees. They fight torture and champion women, children and oppressed minorities. They hold dictators and violent regimes to account by mobilising people to put pressure on governments and other groups to stop human rights violations. Believe in the power of ordinary people. You can make a difference!
