Investing in the young and those who love them

Nationwide

February 2023, a new and exciting journey awaits me. Many are now aware that I(Jude) have been accepted as a volunteer with Volunteer Services Abroad(VSA). I will be working for UNICEF in Timor Leste, who support Alola Foundation (a not for profit) improving the lives of women and children. My home base will be in the capital Dili living local style.

My assignment as a Teacher Trainer in the Viqueque region is to capacity build/mentor and develop training for those who lead these projects, and gift knowledge, practical, sustainable, and fun ideas, especially in the area of early literacy and numeracy.

We know in New Zealand through research that quality preschool education makes a huge difference to our youngest learners giving them the foundation needed to thrive when they start school. It's a privilege to do my part and give from what I have learnt over the years.

VSA is a voluntary organization who has the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade(MFAT) to capacity build in the Pacific region. This fundraiser is to support VSA to cover part of their financial shortfall.

If you would like to support the work I'm doing through VSA, this page has been set up with funds going directly to them on my behalf. Any amount is gratefully accepted, (any amount over $5 is tax deductible).
