Gisborne
Daryl’s Mission:
To walk Titirangi Hill (Kaiti Hill) 1000 times between 30 May 2020 and 30 May 2021.
Daryl is a valued member of the Gisborne East Coast Cancer Society team with the staff and volunteers alike, enjoying his sense of humour and his can-do attitude. He is a key fundraiser for the Gisborne East Coast Cancer Society and a large source of funding for our local centre who to date has raised more than $87,000 for the Cancer Society, with all funds going towards those affected by cancer in Aotearoa.
During Daryl’s fundraising activities, he has gotten to know many families affected by cancer and his motivation for his Kaiti Hill 1000 fundraiser is inspired by wishing to assist not only those going through treatment, but also their families. He’s seen first hand the sacrifices many people make and toll it takes and how tough it can be. WE’LL NEVER STOP, BECAUSE CANCER DOESN’T STOP. We don’t stop caring. We don’t stop assisting. We don’t stop fundraising, and now we have more of a need than ever.
