Support Kat in raising awareness for Endometrioses which effects 1 in 10 women.
Queenstown, Otago
When I was growing up and even as an adult I didn’t know anything about Endometriosis, I thought it just meant slightly painful periods. I couldn’t have been more wrong, it affects you physical life, mental life, work, social relationship everything.
For the past year and half, I have struggled to live what everyone considers a normal life. My normal involves daily pain killers, hot water packs, standing desks, watching everything I eat and being constantly exhausted, not to mention the constant doctors appointment and unfortunately common hospital visit.
This month I have decided to walk to raise awareness for Endometrioses New Zealand. I plan to walk 125km over the next month around the Queenstown Basin, this is a huge step for me as some days I struggle to get out bed due to the pain.
The support I have found through Endo New Zealand, the resources and information they have not only helped me understand my illness but my family and loved one understand as well. Your support will help continue this support to one in ten women diagnosed with this diseases as they navigate what their normal is.
