Khaled's garden was destroyed this week because some New Zealander's decided to choose hate. I want to help Khaled rebuild his garden.
Wellington
Earlier this week, Khaled's garden was vandalised and 1750 of his 2000 of his plants were destroyed by some people in the Hutt Valley. I want to help him to rebuild because I don't think it's good enough for this to happen in New Zealand.
All of the money we raise will be donated directly to Common Unity, who work with Khaled, so they can help him buy more plants so his garden can be rebuilt.
You can also help them to physically rebuild this Saturday, more details here: https://goo.gl/25us1K
I'm involved because I've visited Common Unity at Epuni Primary School before, and have spent time in the school garden with them. They deserve so much love for what they do in their community, and I don't think it's right that hate lead some to destroying a Syrian refugee's livelihood. Hate just breeds hate, and I don't want that in New Zealand.

The response we are getting here is amazing - thank you so much for all you've been doing to share the word and contribute to Khaled's new garden.
Tomorrow, there is a worker bee/community celebration being held at The ReMakery 310 Waiwhetu Road, Lower Hutt, from 10am to 3pm. Sam from the Wellington Volunteer Student Army, will be representing all of us from this Givealittle page in a gifting to Khaled.
If you'd like to go along and help, have a look for the details here: https://www.facebook.com/events/1761951340771890/
Otherwise, thanks again for acting for Khaled and the Common Unity fam. This side of New Zealand is the best.
