Fundraising for Gumboot Friday
Nationwide
Every now and then, a kaupapa comes along that just feels right. Gumboot Friday is one of those.
Kia Puāwai is ANZ Aotearoa's kapa haka rōpū (group), bringing together colleagues from across the motu to connect through waiata, haka, tikanga and te ao Māori. As a rōpū, we talk a lot about whanaungatanga (connection), manaakitanga (care for others) and helping people thrive. Supporting the mental wellbeing of our rangatahi is one way we can show that support to our communities.
So, Kia Puāwai ki Tāmaki, Kia Puāwai ki Raranga and Kia Puāwai ki Pōneke are coming together to bring you a performance to help raise awareness and hopefully a few smiles along the way for Gumboot Friday.
We've set up this Givealittle page to help you join our fundraising efforts, with all funds going directly to Gumboot Friday.
On Thursday 5 November, we'll be bringing a little Kia Puāwai magic into our offices in both Auckland and Wellington.
Expect gumboots. Expect some kai. Expect a few laughs. Expect a performance with a bit of a twist. And yes... there may even be a gumboot line dance involved.
A big mihi to Hawaiki Tawhiti and NZ Pacific Mental Health Network, two of ANZ’s employee networks, for sponsoring our Gumboot Friday events. Their generous tautoko (support) is helping bring this Kaupapa to life.
