Wow, what a journey these last few weeks have been! Thank you all so much for your kind generosity in donating to Gumboot Friday through my fundraiser. Together can start to help change lives.
Still out there practicing most nights! In the weekend I had our local newspaper come and interview me about my fundraiser, and take some photos of me kicking. I have had many local businesses wanting to donate prizes for people to win through raffles, so now my parents are getting that organised 😊 All money raised from these raffles will go directly to Gumboot Friday! Oh, and last week I chatted with Mike King about my fundraiser on his Gumboot Friday live chat…that was pretty cool!
Thank you to everyone who has donated so far! I was away at school camp last week, but I’ve come back and jumped right back into training! I’m excited to let you all know that my local community are jumping on board with my event…
A big thank you to Mercury Bay Rugby Club, the local fire brigade who will be joining me on the 10th of December at Lyons Park to cook their famous mussel fritters and sausages. Carters who are keen to donate a prize (I’m thinking for a Gumboot throwing comp maybe 🤔) and our local Harcourts. Harcourts have also asked me to participate in their fundraiser on Friday after school…so if your in whitianga, pop into town to support this 😊
