Kilometres For Keira

My beautiful niece Keira, now 10, was diagnosed with a rare form of childhood cancer when she was 7. For 3 long years she has been going through brutal chemo and radiation treatments. The beads pictured in the photo represents every treatment she has had and it excludes the glow in the dark beads she has from her radiation treatment.

Devastatingly her treatment plan was moved from curative to palliative in May 2026 after her cancer came back in Nov 2025.

On the 26th of September I will be taking part in a 24 hour run, The Blue Lake 24 hour Challenge attempting to run as many kilometres as I can to raise funds for Keira and her family to be able to tick off Keira's bucket list items and make beautiful memories.

As a parent, I cannot fathom what the her family has been through. The effect on them has been devastating and the stress indescribable.

My hope with this page is that I can endure a fraction of the pain Keira has, and be as brave as she has to help her and her family have the financial means to do whatever her heart desires so she can experience all the joy, love and memories she has missed out on over the last 3 years
