Lake Taupo Hospice Fundraiser

Have you ever been in a situation where you have physically seen a loved one or someone you care for in significant discomfort or pain? You are aware of the illness they are experiencing but don't have the ability to help comfort or improve their last experience of life? Here in this amazing town of Taupo, we have an incredible service that goes unnoticed and is severely underrated. This is the Lake Taupo Hospice end-of-life care. I wish to help contribute to this charity by creating more awareness about the charity through my social media accounts and influences. Lake Taupo Hospice lives off their motto, "Live Every Moment".

Hello! My name is Mason Grimmer. I am currently studying at the University of Waikato. One of my selected papers this year involves creating a crowdfunding campaign on behalf of a chosen charity. The Charity I have chosen is the Lake Taupo Hospice. Therefore by helping and donating to this amazing organisation, you are also helping me.

I myself can speak from experience. Both of my grandfathers were diagnosed with cancer and during their final stages of their lives, they had the end-of-life care service provided which made a massive impact on their final moments. The care also helps close family members and relatives which releases pressure and stress and allows caregivers to have a break. I saw and watched my grandfathers have to suffer extreme pain and discomfort and there was absolutely nothing I could do to help. This is why I simply believe that this charity is such an important resource and service which should be supported more. I will spread awareness by using my social media accounts primarily to achieve more awareness and funding for the Lake Taupo Hospice. At the end of the day, everyone knows of someone who has either had this care or knows someone who may require it. As the Lake Taupo Hospice is currently underfunded and has limited resources, any increase in awareness and donations would go a long way.

My aim is to try to influence and spread awareness to people on social media platforms. Therefore the usage of social media is where I will promote this incredible organisation doing good in the community. Please feel free to support this incredible charity.
