LAPS 4 LIFE - In Partnership With Child Cancer NZ

On Average 160 NZ kids are diagnosed with Cancer every year, there are thousands more impacted with family members battling Cancer across the Country.

We are partnering with Child Cancer New Zealand, to help raise funds for those in need with all money raised being distributed 50/50 between a family in need where the Mum (of four young children) is in her fourth year of an on-going battle with stage 4 blood Cancer & Child Cancer NZ.

Just over two years ago we joined up with Blood Cancer NZ running 21km's everyday for 21 days raising funds for both them, and the family mentioned above.

This time around, we are going all out for 24 hours in a backyard ultra-marathon in Hagley Park.

LAPS 4 LIFE: Starting at 9am Friday the 11th of December from the top of the Rolleston Ave Carpark at North Hagley, we will run a 7km loop (staying in North Hagley Park). We will repeat this loop, starting on the hour every hour for 20 hours, before reducing the distance to 5km to the final 4 hours.

The final Lap will coincide with the Hagley Park, Parkrun, to help set the scene for an Epic finish.

The 160K's is to represent the children across our country (and their whanau's) who have to face this terrible news every year.
