Diagnosed with breast cancer at 34, I'm swimming 4.6km to raise $4.6k for Shocking Pink.
Auckland
In 2021, at the age of 34, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was an incredible shock but has also been the catalyst to take on other challenges. In 2022, around the anniversary of my diagnosis, I completed my first ever ocean swim of 100m as part of a try-a-tri event, and I was hooked.
Fast forward a couple of years and I finally feel strong enough to set my sights on the Rangitoto swim, a whopping 4.6km challenge. It's not just for kicks; I'm swimming to raise $4,600 for Shocking Pink, a charity that's close to my heart. They're all about supporting women diagnosed under age 45 who are facing breast cancer, just like I did.
I need your help to make a difference. Every donation, big or small, helps us support these incredible women. Let's show them they're not alone.
Join me in making waves against breast cancer. Together, we can turn this swim into a tidal wave of hope. Let's do this!
