Let’s support Ukraine 🇺🇦 children - walking 11.11 km for 111 days

Hi All,

It has been disheartening to see innocent Ukrainian people and children affected by recent events there. It’s unbelievable that such an event has occurred and posing more danger to countries/people around the region.

So I am committing to walking 11.11 kilometres for 111 days hoping to raise some funds for Ukrainian kids. I am sure many of you wanted to help or have already helped.So requesting your generous donations to help the kids in Ukraine and don’t shy away as even $5 or $10 or $20 will help the cause. I am making a personal contribution of $200 and all funds generated would go to UNICEF NZ.

I am an IT professional based in Auckland. I have enjoyed walking regularly(everyday!) since the initial lockdown in March 2020 . I used the opportunity of extra time to get fit and walking has helped my mental well-being a lot. I have since then clocked over 5 million steps in the last 2 years.

One final update 6 July 2022

Hi All,

This is a final update from me as 111 days challenge has been completed. I would like to thank you all for the amazing and overwhelming support. We have managed to raise over $2600 for the cause.

In terms of my 11km walking , I could not complete the walk a few days due to travel or being unwell. But I enjoyed the challenge and your support has encouraged me to take up more such challenges.
