Climbing Mt Kilimanjaro with So They Can to empower communities through education so they can break the poverty cycle.

I love adventure and I am passionate about children's right to be educated. Last year I had the privilege of biking across Kenya off road and on the wild side to raise funds for SoTheyCan's ground projects in Kenya to transform the lives of children in the poorest communities. Through STC's work they are providing education and empowering communities to break the poverty cycle within their projects in Kenya and Tanzania. I was able to see first hand the work and progress they are doing and the education they are providing for over 1,000 children at Aberdare Ranges school in Kenya, and the absolute joy of meeting my three sponsor children.
This year I am climbing Mt Kilimanjaro which sits majestically on the border of Kenya and Tanzania, the two East African countries where So They Can is transforming lives through education.
Climbing Mt Kilimanjaro is a life changing challenge and has been on my bucket list for many years, that inspires us all to reach for the stars - and through education the sky is the limit for all the children So They Can supports.
We are climbing to raise funds for these critical education projects that see the neediest children receive a better quality education, access to two meals a day at school and clean water. Because every child matters.
I'm involved because I believe in a child's right to education , so that they can break out of the poverty cycle.
