We're using what we’ve got to help those most in need, fighting against the impact of Covid 19
Manawatu / Whanganui
There’s no denying that Covid-19 has had a big financial impact on kiwis and it’s going to be a long road to recovery for many.
So what if you grew your hair out for the rest of the year to help raise money for those most in need? How awesome would that be!
I’ve been fortunate enough to witness some of the awesome work the Salvation Army is doing alongside other organizations to deliver food parcels to people in need. Even when the lockdown is over, this work is going to need to continue for a good long while as kiwis recover.
So how cool would it be to use what you’ve got to help those in need?
So here is my challenge to you:
Grow your hair out for the rest of the year, raising awareness of our campaign to help Kiwis in need!
Share our video, make one of your own to tell your friends and family what you are doing and who you are doing it for, take a picture each day to show your progress, add one of our profile frames to your Facebook profile photo, with it all directing to here, our givealittle page.
Our givealittle page, linked directly with the Salvation Army where all the funds raised will go to help Kiwis in need.
We want to raise $19,000 to give to the Salvation Army by the end of the year and flip the impact of Covid-19 on it’s head and we need your help to make it happen!
But what if you already have long hair and want to get involved? Great question!
To wrap this whole thing up on Saturday the 5th of December, we are encouraging all people who grew their hair out, or anyone who wants to be involved to shave it all off!
Dependant on the circumstances at the time, maybe you want to do it at your school, your workplace, with friends and family, at your church. We think it would be really cool for everyone to get together and shave it all off, raising what we can in the process to help the people around us.
So don’t go get a haircut when lockdown is over! Let’s band together to use what we’ve got to help those most in need.
I have seen first hand some of the awesome work The Salvation Army are doing to help Kiwis in need during the Covid-19 Crisis. I want to do my part to help make that happen.
