9 March 2020I had to side stroke to keep the waves behind me as backstroke was no longer an option with the waves and all the lake water I was swallowing.

9 February 2020Trained at Okahu Bay, Point Chevalier and Lake Wainamu last week...swimming 3-3.5 km each time - a test of endurance. Roll on Feb 29th when I'm planning to take that final plunge.

So far so good....

Thanks to all for your generous donations. Training continues for me 3 x a week both in the sea at French Bay and Okahu Bay, depending on tide times. My pools are also Cameron Pools, Onehunga pools and Parnell Baths, all of which aren't quite cold enough. Lake Ohau will be a welcome change after the heat we've been experiencing in Auckland.

30 January 2020Thank you so much for your kind donation. It takes $1500 to save a child from sexual exploitation and provide the after-care they need. With $3230 raised we are on the way to helping a third child.
