Helping animals in need during Cyclone Gabrielle.
Hawke's Bay
Newly named ‘Lucky’ the Pig was washed into my kids bedroom during Cyclone Gabrielle in Hastings, and parked up on my daughters bed. You may have read the article in the Hawkes Bay today “Cyclone Gabrielle: Pig floats into bedroom of flood-hit Hawke’s Bay home, goes to sleep on muddy mattress”. Lucky is now on a friends farm until we work out when he can come back. This has prompted me this think about the many many animals caught up in the cyclone.
I am setting this page up to help HUHA who are supporting animals caught up in this chaos. HUHA cares for animals who are lost, who’s displaced owners are unable to care for them, and those who need respite care while their owners work out their next steps.
HUHA are based at the Hawkes Bay Racecourse and are housing goldfish to horses and everything in between.
All funds raised will be given directly to HUHA.
