Fundraising for Brave Little Dylan Beat Cancer Once. Together We Can Help Him Fight Again
Queenstown, Otago
I swore I’d never run a full marathon. Yet here I am, signed up for the Queenstown Marathon and training for it, all 42.2km.
Those who know me know I’m not a natural runner, or athletic in any way. So if I’m going to put myself through this, I want it to be for something that matters.
Dylan is a five-year-old Queenstown boy who was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma, an aggressive childhood cancer, just before his third birthday. He fought through 16 months of treatment and beat it, then in May this year the cancer came back. He’s back in treatment now, and his family are doing everything they can to give him the best possible chance.
As a mum of a little boy myself, I can’t imagine what Chris and Vanessa have been through. Two years of treatment has also taken a huge financial toll on them.
Every dollar donated here goes straight to Dylan’s family to help with his treatment, travel and living costs. You can read more about Dylan and follow his family’s updates on his main page.
Anything you can give would mean so much. Don’t do it for me, do it for Dylan.
Thank you!
Lucy
