I'm Participating in the 15th Annual Westpac Chopper Bike Ride 2026 to Raise funds for the Rescue Chopper Service

My motivation to support and raise funds for the rescue chopper is three-fold.

1. I know several people who have benefitted from the choppers service.

2. Through my work, I see first hand the life saving service they provide.

3. My hobbies take me into areas where a chopper could be the only option should I ever need it, (which I hope I never do.)

This is the 15th year for the annual Westpac Chopper ride, so, if my target is reached I will get a commemorative tattoo to mark the occasion!

Westpac Chopper Bike Ride 2026

The Chopper Bike Ride is back for its 15th year – and we need your support to make it the biggest one yet.

On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
