Vivienne's epic swim challenge to raise funds for Crohn's & Colitis NZ.

Nationwide

My 24-year-old daughter has recently been diagnosed with ulcerative colitis, and I have another two young family members who have also been battling both Cohn’s and Colitis for the last couple of years. I feel so helpless as a parent seeing my daughter deal with the symptoms of this condition, I just want to do something to help so I am trying to raise funds to support the Crohn's & Colitis NZ (CCNZ) foundation which supports people with inflammatory bowel disease.

My Plan A was to get 100 swimmers to join me to swim the combined distance around NZ (15,134km). I am not giving up on this and will continue to try to recruit more swimmers as the weeks go by. As of today (16 May 2025) I have 70 swimmers, so have settled on my Plan B challenge option which is to swim the distance around the South Island of NZ over the course of 1 year.

Please help this cause by kindly donating to CCNZ.

UPDATE 7 OCTOBER 2025 - We have completed the distance around the South Island - yay! I now have 92 swimmers in the group and we have started swimming our way around the North Island. We are still aiming to complete the entire distance around NZ by 31 March 2026. Your support is truly appreciated. Thank you so much everyone!
