Matt Fenn is running 4200km - the length of Aotearoa NZ twice to raise funds for Gumboot Friday and free kids counselling.
Over the years, I’ve taken on some big endurance challenges - from running 654km in 6 days around Auckland Domain, attempting to climb the height of Everest up and down the world’s steepest street and many more. All with a purpose far bigger than myself, making a true and meaningful difference in Kiwi Mental Health culture.
This year, I take on my biggest challenge to date. October 2nd I set off to run the length of Aotearoa not once, but twice. With the sole focus to raise as much money as possible for Gumboot Friday and free kids counselling - something I didn't have access to as a struggling kid.
A total distance of over 4200km and 100 marathons is certainly cause for some nervousness on my part, but the excitement of making a real and lasting difference in the lives of kiwi kids is driving me forward to give it everything I have.
Every dollar goes directly to supporting young people right across the Aotearoa. Thank you so much for your support!
