Max is shaving his hair to help Cameron Suafoa fight sarcoma

Auckland

My name's Max and I work in Marketing for North Harbour Rugby. One of my former colleagues, Cameron Suafoa, is fighting a terminal cancer diagnosis which forced him to retire from playing rugby.

I moved to Auckland from Hawke's Bay, not knowing many people. Cameron's great sense of humour and leadership made me feel extremely welcome in my new job and a new city. Cameron played 70 professional rugby matches and was forced to miss several matches at the start of 2024 because of his first sarcoma diagnosis, before he was diagnosed with sarcoma for the second time in 2025.

Cameron is a wonderful bloke, widely appreciated by the rugby community throughout New Zealand. During his ordeal, he's been an ambassador for the New Zealand Sarcoma Foundation, which will be the recipient of your donations. Cameron is fully supportive of this fundraiser and has expressed appreciation towards donations. I'll share updates on this fundraiser on my Instagram. For Cam 💛

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
