Anyone impacted by suicide knows that I AM HOPE can make a difference. Help me help them.

Bay of Plenty

This September/October I’m taking part in a six week challenge with Snap fitness Pāpāmoa. This challenge is for me to become more active and develop healthier habits but it’s more than that. It’s also a challenge to create awareness and raise funds for the I AM HOPE charity in the hopes that anyone who can’t see their way out of the darkness can get the help they need, in particular our youth.

In 2018 New Zealand lost 668 people taken by suicide. Amongst this number is 137 children and young people. These figures can no longer be ignored or swept under the carpet by those who champion the “stay silent on suicide” mantra. The youth are in limbo waiting up to six months to receive the counselling they need for which I am Hope aims to change.

Everyone is impacted in some way by suicide and I would love to be part of the change that helps to reduce the number impacted.

Everyone knows someone directly impacted by suicide and mental illness. Anything that i can raise will go towards helping those who really need it.
