The Commodore Hotel offers stylish airport accommodation only ten minutes from central Christchurch. We’ve been looking after travellers for almost 50 years, so excellent service is second nature.

For our corporate guests we’ve the facilities and experience to help you host a variety of business events. For those looking to relax with family, our complimentary bus passes and free bikes give you access to the city, while our resort style pool, spa, fitness centre, restaurant and terrace for al fresco dining fill any downtime here at the hotel.

Why have you decided to do Bayleys Plate up for a Purpose this year?

We really do admire the awesome work that Matthew Mark and his team at the City Mission do for our community. It is a real honour to join Bayleys Plate up for a Purpose and be able to do something so pleasurable to raise money for such an important cause.

Who’s your chef hero and why?

Jamie Oliver. I enjoy his enthusiasm and his down to earth approach to food, and he appreciates quality ingredients like I do.

What’s your signature dish?

I love to cook a roast dinner with all the trimmings. And my wife and our four boys enjoy eating it, so that makes me happy.
