Ben and Toby’s Myeloma NZ Virtual Marathon
Ben and I are doing it again — this time virtually! Ben will be running in Vietnam, and Toby in Sydney. We’ll be starting at the same time (4 am for Ben, 7 am for Toby) and running live together from afar on November 17th. Each of us will run an ultramarathon (50km). We’re doing this to support Myeloma New Zealand, a cause that holds a special meaning for both of us.
Myeloma New Zealand has played a vital role in funding important research — including my own — and in providing support, advocating for better treatment for Kiwis left unsupported by our own government, community, and hope to countless people and families affected by this challenging disease. Having seen firsthand the impact myeloma has on lives and the hard work Myeloma New Zealand does, we want to give back. We’re running to fuel hope — and to help bring us all one step closer to a cure.
