Jen's 24hr ride for her boys

$240 of $2,000 goal
Given by 13 generous donors in 11 weeks

To help raise funds for Sands Manawatu/Horowhenua during the Miles in Memory fundraising event at the Manawatu Home Show in July 2018.

Manawatu / Whanganui

Sands is a volunteer organisation, which I am a part of, who support families who have lost a baby to misscariage, stillbirth or toddler death. We get NO government funding.

For the last six years Sands Manawatu/Horowhenua have raised money during their Miles in Memory fundraising event that is held at the Manawatu Home Show. Mums and Dads ride spin bikes in memory of their babies for either 24 or 30 hours during the Home Show.

This year I am doing the 24hrs along with 3 other mums! Crazy stuff but for a worthy cause which is dear to my heart. I myself have lost 2 babies, Sam at 17 weeks and Rylan at 24 weeks.

This organisation has supported so many families and we want to be able to continue to support more. Please if you can donate anything to help us it would be greatly appreaciated.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
