Fundraising for Crohn's and Colitis New Zealand Charitable Trust
Aoraki/Mount Cook, Canterbury
In 1986, 40 years ago, my Dad and a crew made a trip to Mt Cook from Timaru aboard his 1910 Burrell Traction Engine. This was 250-mile (400 km) round trip and at the end of this month, for the 40th anniversary of that run, we are returning to Mt Cook.
Crohn disease is something that affects myself and quite a few people I know so I figured it would make an appropriate cause to help out. Unfortunately, dealing with Crohn’s and Colitis is not as easy as replacing a set of boiler tubes. We will also have a physical donation bucket with us during the trip if anyone is out and about along the way. Any support is really appreciated, and the crew and I are really looking forward to trip ahead. Cheers.
