Dina's 21st Birthday gift to World Vision + Caritas!

My 21st birthday is coming up in May! Here's the catch instead of giving me a gift, I ask you to donate to this page for World Vision + Caritas. Big or small, however much is your choice! Every dollar makes a difference! I realize that I am incredibly fortunate and blessed to be able to flee my home country Iraq to escape war to live in New Zealand. However, right now the war in the Middle East, Gaza, and Ukraine impacting millions of innocent lives, and escaping to a safe country isn't a simple option for them. I cannot even begin to imagine what it would feel like being a child in those heartbreaking situations as they lose everything. World Vision responds to humanitarian needs and helps and empowers vulnerable children especially those facing poverty. World Vision applies faith in action 'building a better world for children'. Caritas is a catholic agency that advocates for social justice, peace, and development to aid those suffering in crisis and poverty across New Zealand and around the world. The Latin word Caritas means 'love in action'. These two organisations are supporting the crisis in the Middle East, Holy Land, and Ukraine which I deeply care about and that resonate with my values and identity.
