My fight to stop violence against women- in memory of Sophie Elliott 🦋

Fundraising for White Ribbon New Zealand

Dunedin, Otago

The Sophie Elliott foundation was set up to educate young people about the signs of partner abuse in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Sophie Elliott was tragically murdered by her abusive partner here in Dunedin.

One in 3 women have experienced violence physically mentally or emotionally here in Aotearoa, infact between 2008 and 2018, 88 of our women had lost their lives due to domestic violence, these are the men who were meant to protect us, 68% of these statistics were māori.

I firmly believe that these statistics are way too high so my fight November 30th is to educate our women and raise the barriers to our wahine and our men, who may be suffering, especially in silence.

Are you okay?

Let's take the pledge

All donations will be to white ribbon new zealand.
