Studying Criminology, I see sexual violence statistics a lot. But these numbers didn't sink in. Not until it is my friend that has been abused. Not until it comes close to home. Not until it comes close to me.

From this experience, I no longer see statistics as just numbers. They are innocent people who have been robbed from trust, control and safety.

I am running for HELP to take a stand for survivors, communities and whanau that have been impacted by sexual violence, just like myself.
