Myles & Marcus' Massive Mountain Mission 4 Camp Quality

Myles and Marcus are two mates with a passion for the Mountains. They have been going on alpine adventures together for the last 20 years, and have schemed up this Massive Mountain Mission to raise funds for Camp Quality.

Camp Quality is a charitable organisation that runs camps for kids living with cancer. During these camps the kids get to experience a range of epic activities, ranging from free chopper rides to crazy costume dress up parties, to roasting marshmallows round the camp fire. In the Christchurch region each year approx. 50 kids get to head out to Living Springs Camp in Governors Bay and enjoy a week of activities, challenges and making new friendships with other kids who are also living with cancer. These kids and their families have been through seriously difficult times and many have missed out on opportunities due to their illness. This Camp is an opportunity for those kids to just be kids again, and also for their families to have a much needed break.

Our Mountain Mission will take us from Lake Kaniere on the West Coast, up onto the Main Divide of the Southern Alps, and along the alpine tops all the way over to Mt Oxford on the East Coast. The trip will take around 13-16 days, cover approx. 140 kms, ascend around a total of 15,000 metres elevation, crossing mountainous and sometimes technical terrain.
