Neigh-bourhood marathon: 42km for Riding for the Disabled

  • 42km for Riding for the Disabled: T-3 weeeeeeks

      23 October 2025

After nothing but bare feet and bike rides to heal my foot, I was so excited for this long run!

34km marks the longest run in my training block so far. It was hilly and also happened to be the first time in weeks we’ve seen the sun ☀️

We are up to $945 already! Thank you so much to everyone who has donated, it really is a great cause.

Only three weeks left! If you’re keen to donate, the link is below and in my bio 💕

My injury from last week felt fine so was looking forward to raising the mileage again this week… only to burn my foot the day before my long run. 🫠

So this week will be another low mileage week while that heals.

In the meantime we’ve raised $775 for RDA 🥳 I’ve been in contact with one of the NZRDA coordinators who have recognised Nans volunteering and would like to put any funds raised, towards volunteer training. There are a few options for volunteering at the RDA so if you’d like to get involved, contact the email below 💕

42km for Riding for the Disabled: T-5 weeks

Here’s an update of the training I’ve been doing for the marathon. A lower mileage week than I’d like thanks to a little injury that’s on the mend now.

So far we’ve raised $605 which is amazing! So grateful for everyone who has donated. Another way to help is by sharing my posts to reach more people 🙏

Some places your donations will go:

🎠 Care, feeding and upkeep of ponies

    🎠 Subsidising session fees

    🎠 Safety training for volunteers

My Strava account is connected to the Givealittle page so you are welcome to track my progress on there too 😊

    More updates to come 💕
