Three Laser Plumbers with a 180 years between them. Raising funds for Mates in Construction.
Canterbury
180 years of plumbing experience wont help with this challenge.
The Coast to Coast was one of hardest physical challengers the three of us have done, but its not as tough as it is for some of our colleagues who are struggling to make it to the start gates at work. The mental burdens carried on the shoulders of people we work with are not always visible.
In the construction industry there is nearly one person every week lost to suicide, and 99% of those that we lose are men. We want to rally support for those that need it and "Mates in Construction" know how to help.
Mates in Construction:
Partner with researchers in research on aspects of the construction industry that impact on mental health and suicide risk.
· Raise Awareness that mental health and suicide is an industry issue that we can address together.
Provide case management support to workers who are struggling
· Create resilient and stringer worksites by training and supporting workers and managers to make a difference and improving mental health and preventing suicide.
Please help us in the battle against suicide by donating to our GiveaLittle.
