OLLIE THE-COCKATIEL'S EPIC KIWI ADVENTURE...

I'm Ollie, a crippled Cockatiel hand-raised at Bird Rescue, Rehoming and Adoption, Waikato. With the two ageing Teletubbies (Hoomum and Hoo-pop), we completed our walk, hike, hitch, paddle, ferry, whizzboat adventure of the North Island! I made a flock of new friends and raised $7000 for animal charity HUHANZ. Then we were off to the South Island to raise the rest of the $25,000. Sadly, we lost Hoo-pop while on our epic Kiwi adventure, and everything came to a screaming halt. But after having a stern wordy in Hoomum's ear, we're almost ready to get back out there and finish what we started for HUHANZ and in Hoo-pop's memory. I hope my bird's-eye view of my epic Kiwi adventure encourages you to hop off the couch, go walkies and explore your local area: whether it's a bush or beach walk, river trail, forest track, nature park, or camp the night in your backyard. And of course include your feathered, hairy, scaled, or fur-baby in your adventure where you can! I'll be working hard helping hoomans part with their money, so we as a flock can raise 'bizquillions' for the good eggs at HUHANZ, with all of it going towards helping the birdiful animals in their care (especially the wonky ones like me).
