On Foot for the Front Line

I’ll be walking 190km from Otaki Ambulance Station carrying a response kit in uniform stopping at all Ambulance stations across the Central District (Levin, Foxton, Palmerston North, Feilding, Pahiatua) finishing my walk in Dannevirke at the Ambulance Station. I’m doing this to raise funds for Te Kiwi Maia, an organisation that provides support to First Responders and Defence Force personnel struggling with burnout, fatigue and physical injury. I’ve had the opportunity to be a part of a week long wellbeing retreat that allowed me to recover from burnout sustained during my career as a Paramedic. Now it’s time for me to give back.
