Orson is shaving his hair to raise money for gut cancer research

Wellington

Hi, I’m Orson.

You might have seen I’ve been growing my hair for the past year. My boy-bun has become a regular feature at football games around Wellington.

What you may not know is that my granddad was recently diagnosed with advanced pancreatic cancer. Pancreatic cancer is hard to diagnose early. Symptoms often do not occur until it has spread to other parts of the body. The doctors say a lot of healthy young people are getting pancreatic cancer too, and they’re not sure why.

I’ve decided that I’m going to get a buzz cut to support people with cancer and people going through chemotherapy. If you’d like to, please donate to support this cause. All donations will be made to the Gut Cancer foundation who fund research into the prevention, detection, diagnosis, and treatment of gut cancers.

I plan to shave off by 28 September!

Thanks for your support

Orson
