Paritutu 40/40 Challenge

Hi,

My names Christina and I am turning the big Four OH this year.

As this is a great milestone in my life I want to do my part for charity and support a couple of causes close to me.

Those are the We love dogs charitable trust and Taranaki Animal Protection Trust.

So the BIG challenge I have set fourth is to climb and descend Paritutu rock in New Plymouth 40 times on my 40th birthday, Saturday the 13th February 2021.

What's the big deal you may ask??

Well Paritutu stands tall at 153 Meters.. bah that doesn't sound much does it?

This climb is not for the faint hearted though, as after the short path leads you to an almost vertical climb weaving back and forth between rocks, using a chain the old timers installed as a way to climb the rock face.

6120 meters of Climbing and descending in 1 day, or climbing Mt Taranaki 2.5 times!!

So come join me, help me complete this challenge as I'm going to need all the encouragement I can get!!
