Paying it forward cause dialysis is rough

Fundraising for Margaret Stewart House who give amazing support to people adjusting to life on dialysis - like us!

Island Bay, Wellington

At the start of this year my husband Chris’ kidney functioning plummeted. It was a rush to get him on dialysis. And dialysis was so much harder than we expected. It was tough on mind and body, especially when he got an infection and had to switch to hemodialysis. As well as our awesome community, what got us through was the support and knowledge of the amazing people at Margaret Stewart House and Wellington Hospital. Now that Chris has had a kidney transplant and life is back on track, we want to pay it forward. So my 14 year old son Max and I are running a half marathon on 1 November - Max’s first, and my first since donating a kidney to Chris. So please sponsor us, so others can get the support they need, to make life saving dialysis work!
